Why must people argue with me about MY ethnic background?!?

It is none of her business and you're right to refuse to argue about it. What difference can it possibly make if they believe you or not? If the opportunity presents itself, get a map or a globe and show her where Kyrgyzstan and the Middle East are, show her the difference. It's really not worth worrying or being angry over, some people are just ignorant.
