My dog has been sick for a few days now? Help?

My Italian Greyhound got into some cough drops the other day without me knowing, and ever since, he has been having some diarrhea. Yesterday he was perfect. Everything was normal: hard stool, & healthy. Today, when I left him in his pen, I come back to his blankets being chewed up, diarrhea and ALSO his rice thrown up from his meal I gave him (rice and chicken broth to get better). I am shocked. He seems to be running around just fine. He is not dehydrated. He has been drinking lots actually. What do I do? He is still extremely high energy and he seems fine. will this p? Please help me.
