Any lawyers help with employee rights. My wife was told not to show up after major snow storm/temps in -25 ?

Wife was told to not come in rest of week after receiving a lot of snow out in the country where we live and very low temps (-25 below) causing vehicle not to start on Tuesday Jan 13th. After finally getting driveway blown out, roads in front of house plowed and one vehicle started. Her boss told her not to come in the rest of the week and not to come again until Monday Jan 19th. She has had nothing but bad things come out of bosses mouth in her face and behind her back to other employees. She has worked 2 years at this place of employment and since day one he has been very derogatory towards her but no others? We received a large amount of snow that night and the temps were well in the 25 below range making it hard to get vehicles started. After I (the husband) finally got the driveway cleared and one car started, the plow finally finished our road (which we are the only ones that live on) around 1 pm. We had drifts in our driveway and on the road larger then the car. She could then leave safely for work. The boss called her told her not to come in and he didn't believe her. She has been getting major migraines and throwing up in the morning violently (but still going to work most of the time) because she is so sick of going to a place where she is treated that way but its the only income we are receiving at the moment due to my lay off in December, so she continued to work. But other employees he'll let be 15 minutes late without a word to them but she is 3 minutes late and gets written up and yelled at? Always talked down and disrespected by owner constantly and now I find this action to be almost an intimidation technique of his. She has always been a very hard worker and good employee and I don't want him to get away with this attitude of his especially when it come to referral time for a new job for her. She has had no migraines or violently throwing up ever since the "temp lay off". Wondering what can we do to get some compensation for these discriminatory actions?
