Lip piercings and dental issues?

um I don't have a vertical but I do play with my piercing all the time and it bumps against my teeth and I have had no problem with chipping. no gum issues either. I know the gum issues are a possibility, especially if you play with it too much. But I actually hadn't heard anything about it chipping teeth lol.
